The Oaks in Sarasota is located at the southern end of the Palmer Ranch area of Sarasota on route 41 (Tamiami Trail) just as you pass into the town of Osprey. 

The Oaks is home to The Oaks Club which is an exclusive golf and tennis country club, and to three very unique neighborhoods.

The Oaks Club is a member-owned private club. The Oaks Club has two 18-hole championship courses and twelve Har-Tru tennis courts including four lighted courts.   The Oaks Club has a board of governors, which is elected by its members.  The board oversees the operations and the financial health of the club and hires professional managers to run the day to day operations.  Residents in all of The Oaks neighborhoods are required to have either an Equity membership or a Social membership at The Oaks Club.

Equity Members are part owners of The Club and have the privilege of golfing year round, complimentary bag storage and range balls, participating in all Club activities, and hold a vote on issues affecting the Club.  There is an initiation fee, a portion of which is refunded when the resident member sells their Oaks Club property.

The Oaks Club Tennis

Social Members have access to unlimited tennis, all clubhouse and dinning privileges, and golf at 50% guest fees in the summer months.  There is a non-refundable initiation fee.

The Oaks neighborhoods are extremely well maintained and all three neighborhoods are guard-gated entrances on route 41.  The following is information about each of the 3 neighborhoods in The Oaks, with links to view the available real estate and homes for sale in each neighborhood. 

The Oaks Clubside is the same neighborhood that has The Oaks Club golf and tennis.  Oaks Clubside is a community of 340 homesites each on ½ acre or larger lots.  Homes range in size from 2,400 square feet and up with many of the homes having a very stately look with garages that enter from the side. 

The Oaks Bayside is directly across the street from The Oaks Clubside and has 195 home lots.  These Oaks Bayside homes are on the west side of route 41 overlooking the Bay of Sarasota.  There is also a 10 acre bald eagle preserve inside The Oaks Bayside.

The Oaks Preserve has 4 different areas within its gates.
Bishopcourt - with includes 46 villas, 3 two-story homes and one lot.

Bishopsourt Townhouses - which is two maintenance-free buildings, each with 6 townhouses.  Both Bishopscourt and Bishopscourt Townhouses have access to a community pool and clubhouse.

Emerald Woods - is 30 maintenance-free villas that range in size from 2,000 to 2,33 square feet.

The Meridian at the Oaks Preserve condominiums - These are 6 tower buildings from 8-10 stories in size with views overlooking Little Sarasota Bay.  The Meridian condominiums have their own pool and fitness center.
