The Siesta Key Crystal Classic - Siesta Key Beach Sand Sculpting Competition with $25,000 in prize money. 
The first annual Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition with proceeds going to the Mote Marine's Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program will take place on November 18th - 21st on Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida.
Siesta Key Beach sand has been described as the whitest and finest beach sand in the world. Made of 99% quartz you must walk on this sand to believe it. Cool and sugary there is nothing like the beach at Siesta Key.
This event promises to be an exciting time. Here is a selection of the events that are planned:
- Master Sand Sculptors by 10 pairs of the top master sculptors. "Meet the Masters"
- A group carving by the Masters.
- Amateur Competition.
- Demonstrations and Lessons - Learn the tricks of the trade form the best.
- Live Music on the beach.
- Mote Marine Environmental Education - Learn about sea life.
